Message to Potential Candidates to Ogawa Seminar:
Greetings! My name is Hoeun Sreymech, from Cambodia. I got a MEXT Scholarship in April 2022 as a research student and continuously pursued a master’s program from October 2022 to September 2024 at GSICS under the supervision of Professor Keiichi Ogawa. For these 2 years and a half, I have gained both hard and soft skills, and I have had the chance to connect with dynamic and experienced people from the World Bank and other United Nations potential staff introduced by my supervisor, Professor Keiichi Ogawa. More importantly, it is my honor to work under his supervisor because Professor Ogawa is one of the well-known professors at Kobe University, and has a variety of publications on different topics under educational themes, so students from diverse backgrounds can learn a lot from him, and conduct research very efficiently and effectively based on his professional work experience. Moreover, Professor Ogawa conducts several seminars, workshops, and conferences in many dynamic international organizations and countries around the world, which is a good opportunity for his students to experience outside the school context and build connections among scholars. Lastly, I strongly believe that joining Professor Ogawa’s seminar is the best opportunity for me and other students to both absorb research knowledge and experience and build networks among people around the world. Also, I am very grateful to Professor Keiichi Ogawa who recommended me to further my Doctoral Program at GSICS, and expect to finish by September 2027. During the upcoming three years, I do believe that it will enhance my analytical skills, professional opportunities, and soft skills as the bridge for my future career.
