小川ゼミの学生2名が国際開発学会第27回春季大会で「優秀ポスター発表賞」を受賞しました

2026年6月27日（土）、国際開発学会第27回春季大会が明治学院大学にて開催されました。今大会では、「なつかしい未来：開発は人びとの手で」というテーマのもと、政治、教育開発、移民・難民、持続可能性、貧困、ジェンダー、平和構築、災害、保健衛生など、幅広い分野にわたる研究発表が行われました。発表件数は、口頭発表51件、ラウンドテーブル10件、企画セッション3件、ポスター発表21件の計85件にのぼりました。小川ゼミからは、13名の卒業生・学生が参加し、ポスターセッションにて研究成果の発表を行いました。

また、博士後期課程のYousuf Daasさんと横川野彩さんが「優秀ポスター発表賞」を受賞しました。

Yousuf Daasさんは、”Exploring the Effect of Sibship Size on Primary and Lower Secondary School Children’s Foundational Learning Skills & Mental Health in Palestine”をテーマに研究発表を行いました。本研究では、全国代表性のある調査データと質的インタビューを組み合わせた混合研究法を用いて、家族規模が子どもの読み書き能力、計算能力、心理的ウェルビーイングにどのように関わっているのかを分析しました。因果推論を強化するため、分析では双子の出生をきょうだい数の操作変数として用いる操作変数法を採用しました。その結果、学齢期のきょうだいの人数が多いほど、主に親の関与が低下することを通じて、子どもの読み書き能力や計算能力が低下することが示されました。一方で、メンタルヘルスへの影響はより複雑であり、保護的な側面と悪影響の両方が見られました。また、本研究は、親が限られた時間や資源を子どもたちの間でどのように配分しているのかを検討し、こうした配分のあり方には、社会経済的状況、ジェンダー、文化的規範が重要な役割を果たしていることを明らかにしました。

横川野彩さんは、“The Mechanism of School–Industry Partnerships: A Multiple Case Study of Vocational High Schools in Surabaya, Indonesia” をテーマに研究発表を行いました。本研究では、インドネシア・スラバヤの職業高校を対象に、学校と産業界の連携がどのように形成・維持されているのかを、昨年度夏に実施した現地調査の結果に基づいて分析しました。その結果、多くの学校に共通して、卒業生の就職実績、学生の態度、過去の連携経験、ソーシャル・ネットワーキング・サービス(SNS)等を通じた学校活動の可視化などが、企業に対して学校の質を示すシグナルとして用いられていることが明らかになりました。一方で、既に企業との信頼関係や卒業生ネットワークを有する学校ほど、継続的に連携機会を得やすいのに対し、こうした実績の少ない学校では連携形成が不安定になりやすいことが示されました。本研究では、このような学校が企業に対して信頼性や実績を示しながら連携機会を獲得していくプロセスを、シグナリング理論の枠組みに基づいて説明しました。さらに、本研究は、学校産業連携がインターンシップ機会を生み出すだけでなく、学校の評判や企業からの評価の蓄積を通じて、職業高校間の機会格差を累積的に広げる可能性があることを示唆しました。
